Ten Bangladeshi infiltrators remanded to judicial custody
Bangaon, Sep 5 (UNI) At least ten Bangladeshi infiltrators, arrested on Sunday, were today remanded to judicial custody by the Sub-divisional Judicial Magistrate court here in North 24 Parganas.
The Border Security Force (BSF), intercepted at least nine Bangladeshis at Petrapol and following prolonged interrogation handed them over to police on suspicion that they might have links with terrorist outfits.
Strict vigil was being maintained to prevent infiltration of the ultras into this area, the BSF said here.
The Magistrate remanded all the nine to judicial custody till September 18 next.
In another incident, a Bangladeshi from Sarsa police station Jessore district, was arrested from bordering area here and produced before the court today.
Police seized a forged Indian identity card from him.
The court, however, remanded the accused Mahammad Alam to judicial custody till September 11 and directed police to submit its report.
