Suspension of Jagmeet Brar's brother, others revoked
Chandigarh, Sep 5 (UNI) Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Shamsher Singh Dullo today gave his approval to revoke the suspension of Ripujit Singh Brar, the brother of Congress Working Committee (CWC) member Jagmeet Singh Brar, and three others from the party.
Besides Mr Ripujit Singh Brar, the former chairman of Punjab Energy Development Authority (PEDA), the other three leaders whose suspension has been revoked included Patiala District Congress Committee ex-president Tara Singh Sandhu, PUDA ex-chairman Kulbir Singh Sidhu and Moga District Congress Committee ex-president Harinder Pal Singh Mann.
All the four had personally appeared before the Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC) of the PPCC on August 12, where they assured that they would maintain party discipline and would not rake the issues pertaining to the internal party matters in the media, DAC chairman Gopal Krishan Chatrath said in a statement issued here.
''Mr Dullo has given his approval to revoke the suspension and to accept their undertaking to the effect that the party discipline shall be maintained by them under all circumstances,'' Mr Chatrath said.
