Site identified for mini Vidhana Soudha in Belgaum

Belgaum, Sep 5 (UNI) The Karnataka government has identified land for construction of Mini Vidhana Soudha where a special legislative session, as promised by the government could be held, Minister for Primary Education Basavaraj Horatti said today.

Mr Horatti and district incharge Minister Sashikanth Naik inspected the site near Halaga on the outskirts of the city .

Speaking to newsmen here, he said that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy would be approached for an allocation of Rs 50 crore to buy the land.

''The state government proposes to make Belgaum the second capital of the state. We are committed to hold the special legislative session in this city,'' he added.
