Rupee further gains six paise to close at Rs 46.28/USD

Mumbai, Sep 5 (UNI) Indian Rupee today further gained strength by six paise to close at Rs 46.28 per US Dollar compared to the previous close Rs 34/35 per US Dollar, the strength in Indian currency is attributed to solid foreign fund flows in the market.

Earlier, Rupee opened at Rs 46.30/32 per US Dollar and in the mid morning session traded at 46.22/24/US Dollar.

RBI today fixed the Reference Rate at Rs 46.22/US Dollar compared to the previous rate of 46.44 per US Dollar on Friday.

The six month forward premia was fixed low at 1.32 per cent and the one year forward premia was also fixed low at 1.40 per cent.

The Rupee performance against other currencies too improved, against Euro, Rupee closed at Rs 59.20 (59.61), against Pound Sterling it closed at Rs 87.70 (89.29) and against Yen it closed at Rs 39.85 (39.92) UNI VS MJ SKB1800
