Mizo farmers feel deprived of share in budget
Aizawl, Sept 5: The Zoram Farmers Association of Mizoram (ZFM) has alleged that all the agricultural schemes introduced in this fiscal have been completely neglected.
ZFM accused the Zoramthanga government claiming that 80 per cent of the entire budget was utilised to provide salary for government employees while the rest was siphoned by the 'powerful' people.
In a statement the association said the poor farmers in the remote areas were deprived of any funds and alleged the ministers had grabbed the lion's share of the allocated funds.
The organisation also accused the government as unfreindly and said it would fight for rights of the farmers.
