Jeev remains higest ranked Indian golfer, Atwal at 207
New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) With 12 rungs separating him from Jyoti Randhawa, Jeev Milkha Singh remains the highest ranked Indian player at 143rd in the latest Official World Golf Rankings.
Current Asian Tour number one Jeev occupies the 143rd place with 1.14 average points, while Randhawa is placed 155th with 1.08 points in his kitty, according to information received here today.
Among others, youg Shiv Kapur (.83), ranked 199th, managed to hang on in the top 200 while it was not the same story with off-colour Arjun Atwal (.80) who is languising at 207.
Meanwhile, Tiger Woods has now held the World Number One position for a total of 407 weeks and with wins in his last five tournaments, including two Majors and a World Golf Championship, has extended his lead over Phil Mickelson to 13.76 average points.
