Former Delhi footballer Durga Prasad passes away
New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) Former Delhi state player and coach Durga Prasad has passed away due to lung failure.
Prasad, who died at a hospital in Noida yesterday, was 67 and survived by his wife, two sons and three daughters.
He began his career in 1954 and played for clubs like Youngsters, City FC, Youngmen FC and Indian National FC.
Prasad represented Delhi in various junior and senior national football championships including Santosh Trophy from 1958 to 1965 and became coach of Delhi team for the Santosh Trophy held in Jalandhar in 1962.
