Elderly man dies after stone hit in AP village

Vijayawada, Sep 5 (UNI) An elderly man was killed when a stone hit him after a group allegedly belonging to Congress hurled stones on the houses of TDP functionaries at Mullapadu in Penuganchiprolu mandal of Krishna district late last night.

Police sources said N Narasimaha, who tried to stop the group from pelting stones on the houses of three TDP men while they were returning after immersing the idols of Ganesh, was hit by a stone on his head. He died on the spot.

Police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
