Medhat has been employed by the Mittal Champions Trust, which supports Joshana, and will start his stint this week.
The Egyptian will also travel with Joshana and help India's youngest national champion to get into peak form for the Asian Games. They will be traveling to a few tournaments in the United States in October and then for a couple of training sessions in other countries before the Games.
Joshana has entered the world top 50 and the coach has been brought in to give her an additional boost.
''We feel Joshana has come a long way this year and needs some professional help and guidance to futher achieve her goals. Mohammed is a great fit for Joshana because he has not only coached at the highest levels but also played there. So he will be a combination of both coach and hitting partner,'' administrator of the Mittal Champions Trust Manisha Malhotra said on the new appointment.
