Airtel celebrates 2nd anniversary in UP; announces sops for users

Lucknow, Sep 5 (UNI) Airtel mobile services in Uttar Pradesh (East) circle today announced several sops for customers, including STD at Re one, 'Do crore KI Barsat' offer alongwith premium vouchers and recharge coupons on its second anniversary.

Addressing a news conference here, Bharti Airtel Ltd Mobility chief operating officer (UP East) Shanker Prasad said the company was introducing exciting products and services on the occasion by offering best value proposition to customers.

He said the completion of two years of operations in UP (East) circle brings 'Do Crore Ki Barsat' offer in which randomly selected prepaid customers can get a talk value of Rs one lakh on recharging their mobile with any Airtel recharge coupon by October 5 next.

The company will get a total amout of Rs 2 crore under this scheme.

Mr Prasad said any customer can enjoy STD calls at Re 1 anywhere in India and the offer is valid till September 30.

For the first time, Airtel is introducing Rs 59 and Rs 98 value voucher for its customer. The Rs 59 value voucher will reduce the outgoing call rates to 30 paise per minute for Airtel to Airtel, 50 paise for Airtel to other mobiles and 75 paise per minute for Airtel to Landline.

With Rs 98 value voucher customers can make all the local calls at 50 paisa, STD calls in all metro cities at Re 1 and to other cities at Rs 1.50.

Also, Rs 21 recharge coupon will give the customers 120 and 200 minutes of local airtel to airtel free during 2200 to 0700 hrs and Re 1 regular talktime, while Rs 51 coupon, customers will get SMS worth Rs 100 totally free.

He said with the new Rs 399 recharge coupon, customers can enjoy making calls at economical rates of Rs 1.20 for 180 seconds. The recharge coupon is valid for 30 days with mthe talktime of Rs 199.

Airtel was launched in UP (E) circle in the last week of August in 2004 and till now they have a customer base of around one million. The mobile telephony of Airtel covers 32 highways, 897 towns and 26,500 villages in the circle.
