About 30,000 teachers to be appointed on contract in MP

Bhopal, Sep 5 (UNI) About 30,000 teachers will be appointed on contract in Madhya Pradesh from a waiting list as applicants selected earlier failed to assume their posts.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan made the announcement today during a review of such appointments in a 'Samadhan Online' programme here though he was himself speaking from New Delhi where he is attending a Chief Ministers' meeting on internal security.

''There are roughly 52,000 posts in three categories but approximately 21,000 applicants assumed their posts,'' said Principal Secretary (Education) I S Dani.
