T Rao appointed Managing Director of Flender Ltd

Kolkata, Sep 4 (UNI) Flender Ltd today at its Board Meeting announced the appointment of Mr T Rao as the new Managing Director Designate with immediate effect.

He took over from Mr S Mullick, who had stepped down on his own due to personal reasons. Mr Mullick was the Managing Director since February, 2003.

Mr Rao, a Mechanical Engineer from IIT, Kharagpur, has a rich experience of 25 years in the field of Mechanical Power Transmission.

Flender Ltd is now a 100 per cent Siemens Company with Flender AG (a 100 per cent subsidiary of Siemens AG) and Siemens Ltd with each holding a 50:50 stake.

Flender is a leading player in the industrial gearboxes segment with revenues of around Rs 857 million for the year ended September 30, 2005.
