Suspended BJP legislators Janardhana Reddy gets bail
Bangalore, Sep 4 (UNI) Suspended Bharatiya Janata Party legislator G Janardhana Reddy was granted bail today by a Civil and Sessions Court Judge in connection with two defamation cases filed against him for allegedly making false charges that Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy and his cabinet colleagues have collected over Rs 150 crore from mining operators in Bellary district.
Mr Reddy personally appeared before the judge A N Pujar who ordered his release on bail after submitting surety for Rs One lakh.
The case was posted to October Nine for further hearing.
The special public prosecutor C H Hanumantharaya argued on behalf of the state government while advocate C V Nagesh represented Mr Reddy.
