Sensex up 137 pts in the intra noon trade
Mumbai, Sept 04: The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensitive Index (sensex) in the intra-noon trade was 137 points up at 11,915.40, as the momentum since Friday close has increased in the buying of index heavyweight, alongwith the smallcap and the midcap scrips, assisted by the decline of crude oil price and strengthening of benchmark Asian indices.
The midcap was up by 1.72 per cent and the smallcap was up by 1.33 per cent.
All the sectoral indices on the BSE were trading in the green.
Capital Goods and Teck were up by 1.57 per cent, whereas, IT was up by 1.64 per cent and Auto sector led by decrease in the oil price is up by 1.41 per cent.
Similarly the Dollex-30, 100 and 200 were up by 1.49,1.56 and 1.59 per cent.
Major gaienrs on the index were Maruti Udyog, Tata Motors, L&T, Infosys, HLL, Reliance Energy, Satyam Computers, ICICI, ONGC and Grasim Industries all up between 1.20 and 2.71 per cent.
Besides the loser on the index in the intra noon trade was only one: Hero Honda down by 1.02 per cent.
