Restaurant encroaching Tughlaq tomb in H Khas among 200 shops sealed
New Delhi, Sep 4 (UNI) Continuing with its drive to seal commercial establishments in Delhi following the recent notification by the Urban Development Ministry, the MCD today sealed nearly 200 commercial properties, including a restaurant in Hauz Khase village which had encroached upon the historical tomb of Tughlaq.
The MCD today sealed the premises of the famous Bistro Restaurant in Hauz Khas Village, near Deer Park following the inspection and subsequent instructions of the Monitoring Committee. It was found that the restaurant was illegally situated in the urban village of South Delhi. It had also encroached upon the historical tomb of Tughlaq. It comprised number of banquet halls and restaurants.
Besides, the restaurant had number of blatant violations of building bye-laws and related laws.
A large gym called ''Power House'' situated in Hauz Khas Village, near Deer Park was also sealed today. The Monitoring Committee of the Supreme Court had visited the premises of the gym for an inspection and found that the ultra-modern gym had a number of blatant violation of building bye-laws and had undergone tremendous misuse of property in the urban village.
The restaurant and gym were among ten properties sealed by the MCD in South zone.
In City Zone, seven properties were sealed while 45 were put to seal in Rohini Zone.
In Najafgarh Zone, 37 shops were sealed while demolition action was carried out at four properties and 10 establishments in Najafgarh Zone were partially demolished.
In Shahdara (North), 53 shops along with 26 other unauthorised constructions were sealed.
In Central Zone, 15 properties were sealed in Kotla Mubarakpur.
Demolition action was taken in a property in South Extn.
Part-II while an encroachment was removed from New Friends Colony.
