Rear Adml Chatterjee assumes charge as Flag Officer Submarines

Visakhapatnam, Sep 4 (UNI) Rear Admiral Pradip K Chatterjee assumed charge as Flag Officer Submarines here today.

A release from Eastern Naval Command (ENC) said an alumnus of National Defence Academy and National Defence College, Rear Admiral Mr Chatterjee, prior to promotion to the flag rank was Principal Director of Submarine Acquisitions at headquarters New Delhi.

He held many prestigious command and staff appointments, including command of submarines Shankul and Shankush. He was decorated with the Nao Sena medal, the release added.
