Police probe death of family in closed car

Faridabad, Sep 4 (UNI) Police are investigating the death of four members of a family in a car stranded on NIT- Faridabad road in heavy rain on Saturday night.

Dhinesh Jindal, resident of sector 30 was on his way to attend Lion's club programme in Delight Hotel at NIT here with his wife and two children when he found the road flooded due to heavy rain. He decided to stop the car and switched on the AC.

Police said the deaths would have occured during the night due to suffocation from some gas.

An FIR was lodged with the Central Police Station and the bodies were sent for the post-mortem examination, they added.
