PM appeals to PSU oil company officers not to strike work
New Delhi, Sep 4 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmaohan Singh tonight urged the officers of state-owned oil companies to call off their indefinite stir starting tomorrow.
The appeal came following a meeting between Dr Singh and Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Murli Deora, who urged the Prime Minister to set up a pay revision committee to revise the pay scales of the executives of the Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSC), an official release said.
Earlier, the PSU officials had threatened to go on indefinite strike demanding pay parities with multi-national companies after talks with Mr Deora failed to make much headway.
