Nine BD nationals arrested in the capital

Agartala, Sep 4 (UNI) The authorities have expressed concern about the reports of presence of foreign elements with the arrest of nine Bangladeshi nationals in the Aralia area here recently.

According to police, a patrolling party found some unknown persons moving suspicously in Aralia area and when challenged tried to flee.

They had no valid document and when questioned said they were staying on business purpose. All the captured Bangladeshi nationals informed the police that they were doing ferry business.

Later all of them were produced before the judicial magistrate who remanded them in police custody.

Police investigation was on to find out the actual motive behind their presence. Security measures had also been beefed up throughout the state.
