Lightning injures 28 school children in Orissa

Puri, Sep 4 (UNI) Twentyeight school children and two teachers of sustained burn injuries when lightning struck them.

Official sources said all the students were of class eight of the Budhibar Diakuda High school under the Krushnaprasad block. The mishap occurred at noon.

Suddenly a spark of lightning engulfed the school followed by a loud thunder.

Local villagers rushed the injured students to Malud hospital where the condition of four was stated to be critical.
