Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 4 (UNI) A day after IG B Sandhya submitted her report on the Kerala Public Works Minister P J Joseph's alleged sexual misbehaviour with a woman, the minister said there was no demand from Chief Minister V S Achuthandnan for his resignation.

''I have not outraged the modesty of the woman and I have made my position clear before the Chief Minister,'' Mr Joseph told newspersons after a half-hour meeting with Mr Achuthanandan at his official residence Cliff House.

The Minister said he had made his position clear before the Chief Minister in the wake of the inquiry report. Now, it was for the Chief Minister to study the legal aspects and take further steps.

''If the Chief Minister asks me to resign, then I will step down,'' he added.

He said the report of IG Sandhya, who was asked to inquire into the matter by the Chief Minister, was incomplete and there were no recommendations.

There was no substance in the report to prove the allegation of the woman.
