Srinagar, Sep 4 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Governor Lt Gen (Retd) S K Sinha today accepted the resignation of Mr Muzaffar Hussain Baigh from the Council of Ministers in the coalition government.

A Raj Bhavan spokesman said the Governor has accepted Mr Baigh's resignation from the Council of Ministers in Jammu and Kashmir.

He said the resignation has been accepted on the recommendations of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad.

The spokesman said Mr Azad had forwarded Mr Baigh's resignation to the Governor last evening and it was accepted today.

Mr Baigh had submitted his resignation from the state Cabinet to Mr Azad here last evening as desired by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leadership.
