Hearing on petition against 'Omkara' on Sep 11
Lucknow, Sep 4 (UNI) The writ petition seeking a ban on the Ajay Devgan-starrer 'Omkara' will be taken up for hearing on September 11 before the Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court.
A division bench comprising Justices Jagdish Bhalla and Dharmaveer Sharma passed this order on the writ filed by Hindu Personal Law Board secretary Premchandra Sharma and others.
The petitioner prayed that the Censor Board certificate given to the film be also cancelled.
It is contended that obscene language had been used in it and the film was meant for adults, although it was named after a Hindu diety.
