Former CM of Bihar S N Sinha passes away

Patna, Sept 4: Former Chief Minister of Bihar S N Sinha died after prolonged illness at his residence here this morning.

He was 90.

He is survived by his wife and son, Nikhil Kumar, a Congress MP from Aurangabad, and daughter-in-law Shyama Sinha, also an MP.

Mr Sinha became Chief Minister in 1989. He was elected to parliament in 1952, 1957, 1971, 1977 and 1984.

He served the state in the capacity of minister in the cabinet of Mr Vinodanand Jha in 1950 and also in the cabinet of K.B.Sahay ministry.

Mr Sinha was critically ill for the past several days.

Several Congress leaders and others expressed grief over the death of the former CM.
