Five policemen suspended in Uttar Pradesh

Jaunpur, Sep 4 (UNI) A sub-inspector and four other Uttar Pradesh traffic police personnel were suspended after being charged with extortion here.

Police today said Sub-inspector Vinay Rai, constable Ram Vilas Singh, Arjun Tiwari, Hare Ram and Satyaram were suspended for extorting money from truck drivers in Line Bazar area yesterday.

Police Superintendent Shachi Ghildiyal ordered an inquiry into the allegations and suspended the policef.
