CPI lay siege to collectorate demanding house sites to poor

Khammam, Andhra Pradesh, Sept 4 (UNI) Activists of the CPI here today laid a siege to the Collectorate, demanding house sites for the poor and deserving.

The CPI activists who did not allow the Collectorate staff to enter the office for two hours, alleged that though they were fighting for the house sites for the past six years, officials were not showing any concern.

Demanding pattas for the poor who constructed huts on the banks of the Nagarjuna Sagar canal, they warned that the government would face dire consequences if the huts were removed.
