Dubai, Sep 4 (UNI) Air-India's Doha office has requested Bureau of Civil Aviation Security to review restrictions on carrying goods on board the aircraft as other airlines have relaxed such rules.

Air-India passengers, who are not allowed to carry in their hand bag -- liquids, gels or aerosols-- are outraged at the national carrier's stringent rules as other airlines have relaxed the restrictions imposed after the August 11 discovery of a terrorist plot to blow up transatlantic flights.

Even goods bought from duty-free shops are confiscated by air security, angering passengers, who are now being told that on show of cash receipts, the goods would be handed over to them at the boarding gate after security checks.
