BJP to take out 'Vande Maatram' yatra

Chandigarh, Sept 4 (UNI) As part of its resolve to celebrate the centenary of composition of national song 'Vande Maatram' with great fervour and in style, the Punjab unit of the BJP will take out a 'Vande Maatram Shatabadi Yatra' on September 7 in state. Stating this here today, Mr Vijay Sampla, party spokesman said that state BJP chief Avinash Rai Khanna will lead the yatra which will commence from Hoshiarpur.

The yatra will culminate at Chandigarh on the same day after passing through the districts of Hoshiarpur, Nawanshahar, Ropar and Mohali.

During the course of the yatra, one lakh copies of audio cassettes of the 'Vande Maatram' song will be distributed.
