Army jawan killed, four injured in grenade attack

Jammu, Sep 4 (UNI) An army jawan was killed and four others were injured when militants hurled a grenade on a patrolling vehicle at Chajroo on Mahore-Gool road in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Official sources said militants lobbed a grenade targetting an army vehicle at 2030 hrs last night when the troops were on their regular night patrolling.

A jawan was killed on the spot and four others were injured.

Troops from a nearby camp rushed the injured to a military hospital.

A massive search operation has been launched by the army to apprehend the militant involved in the attack.
