57-year-old cancer patient shoots self

New Delhi, Sept 4 (UNI) A 57-year-old cancer patient, hailing from Ludhiana, today allegedly shot himself dead in Karol Bagh area of Central Delhi.

Praveen, suffering from cancer for the past several years, shot himself dead at a Karol Bagh guest house at about 1100 hrs with a country-made pistol, according to sources.

Undergoing treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute in Karol Bagh area, Praveen was depressed for the last couple of days, said his brother Vinod who was staying with him at the guest house.

Police said they were investigating as to where he got the pistol from.
