3500 vacant posts in health dept will be filled: Rosaiah
Eluru, Sep 4 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to fill the 3500 vacant posts in medical and health departments in the state, Health Minister K Rosaiah said today.
Speaking after inaugurating a primary health centre at Gouripatnam in Devarapalli mandal about 80 km from here, he said the government had taken all necessary steps to control Chikengunya.
As part of the steps the government had decided to pay an additional amount of Rs 3000, apart from the salary to the doctors working in the agency areas, he added.
The government would also take steps to fill all the vacant doctors post, he said adding that district and medical officers have been given powers to purchase necessary medicines.
West Godavari District Collector Lav Agarwal, speaking on the occasion said the district administration would provide basic amenities like safe drinking water to quarry workers in the district. The Health minister, who later visited some medical camps and consoled the people affected with viral fever directed the district administration to provide them necessary medical assistance.
