Woman killed by daughter-in-law

Hyderabad, Sep 3 (UNI) A 65-year-old woman was murdered by her daughter-in-law over a family dispute near Narsimhapur colony here today.

According to police, Lakshmi (35) and her mother-in-law Rambai, had a quarrel over a domestic issue. When Rambai was sleeping, Lakshmi picked up a granite boulder and crushed her head with it.

Rambai died on the spot. Later, Lakshmi surrendered before the police. At the time of the incident, Lakshmi's husband, Nagesh was out of town, police said.

Police said Lakshmi was being harrased by her aunt and was unable to bear the mental torture.

Police took her into custody.
