Three girls drown in a river in Chitoda village

Akola, Sep 3 (UNI) Three girls drowned in a river in Chitoda village in Khamgaon taluka, 50 kms from here, police said.

The deceased have been identified as Miss Laxmi Baliram Nage (13), Miss Sheetal Ganesh Bhange (12) and Miss Surekha Kisan Wadekar (12).

The girls had gone to the river yesterday to wash clothes when the mishap occured, police added.
