Suicide pact: couple dead, daughter serious

Bangalore, Sep 3 (UNI) A young couple died while their two children battling for life when the family entered into a suicide pact by consuming poison in the city today.

Police said that Balaji (32) and Shobha (30), were found dead by the neighbours while their two daughters Jyotika (10) and Priyanka (5) were battling for life, this morning.

The two children were admitted to hospital where their condition was stated to be serious.

The couple, in a suicide note, stated that they had taken the extreme step due to personal reasons.

The bodies had been sent for a post- mortem, police added.
