London, Sep 3 (UNI) Leaving no stone unturned to ensure that Inzamam-ul Haq escapes an ICC ban, Pakistan have roped in Mike Procter, the match referee at the controversial The Oval Test, as one of their witnesses in the ball tampering case in the Captain's hearing scheduled to take place in the last week of the month.

According to a report in 'The News', Procter is one of the 19 witnesses Pakistan's lawyers are planning to call in the ICC hearing over Inzamam's disciplinary case expected to take place in the last week of the current month.

Procter was the man at the helm of the fourth Test between Pakistan and England at The Oval last month that ended in a controversial forfeiture after umpire Darrell Hair accused the tourists of ball tampering on the fourth day of the match.

Pakistan have hired a team of lawyers and are looking forward to putting up a strong defense of Inzamam, who if found guilty of charges levelled by the ICC, could be banned for up to four Tests or 10 ODIs.
