National festival at Dakshina Mookambi

Kottayam, Sep 3 (UNI) A National festival for music and dance will be held with various programmes at the Dakshina Mookambika, Panachikkadu temple here from September 23 - October 1.

Temple authorities said elaborate arrangements had been made for the festival. State Cultural Affairs Minister M A Baby, Opposition Leader Oommen Chandy, Music Director V Dakshinamurthy, Kaithapram Viswanathan Namboodiri and others would be participating at the inaugural ceremony.

The National festival was being conducted as part of the Navarathri Mahotsav, authorities added.
