Modi pays respects to noted Gujarati humorist
Ahmedabad, Sep 3 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi condoled the death of noted Gujarati humorist Bakul Tripathi and said it was a big loss to the state.
He regretted that in his death, the state had lost it's ''Saraswati putra''.
Mr Modi paid respects to the departed humorist and offered his condolences to his family yesterday.
The 78-year-old professor Tripathi had died on Thursday following illness.
He was a professor in HL commerce college and president of the Gujarat Sahitya Parishad. His two popular columns in leading Gujarati daily 'Gujarat Samachar', ''Thoth Nishaliyo'' and ''Kakko ne Barakhadi'' made him a humorist of repute.
