Medha alleges Advani propaganda against NBA

Badwani, MP, Sep 3 (UNI) Narmada Bachao Andolan leader Medha Patkar today alleged that a statement by former premier L K Advani in the RSS mouthpiece 'Organiser' amounted to ''propaganda'' against the NBA.

''Mr Advani is not aware of the Sardar Sarovar Project's ground realities. The article described the Andolan as anti-Hindu and a supporter of the US. In reality, the NBA had vociferously protested against US President George W Bush's India visit,'' she told UNI here.

At a programme in Mumbai two days back, Mr Advani held protests -- in the name of oustees -- responsible for the delay in development projects and added that the Andolan was an example.

''That is the reason why NBA leaders are not mustering courage to enter Gujarat as that state's denizens are incensed over the Andolan,'' Mr Advani said.
