Flood forces closure of schools, colleges in J

Srinagar, Sep 3 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government today decided to close all schools and colleges in the state for two days in view of flood situation and incessant rains since Friday morning, an official spokesman said.

He said the decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting which met here today with Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad in the chair.

The spokesman said it was also decided that all school and college buildings would be utilised to accommodate flood-affected people.

The Cabinet meeting was convened by the Chief Minister early today to review the flood situation in the state, he added.
