Chandigarh beat Sangrur in Punjab inter-district tournament

Chandigarh, Sep 3 (UNI) Chandigarh beat Sangrur by 50 runs in the Punjab Inter-District Cricket Tournament for the Katoch Shield at the DAV Senior Secondary School in Sector 8 here today.

Sangrur won the toss and elected to field first. Chandigarh were all out for 159 in 63 overs. Gurkirat (56) and Viswas Bhalla (48) were the top scorers for Chandigarh. Babloo Kumar (4 for 37) and M Saidakhan (2 for 38) were the top wicket takers for Sangrur.

In reply Sangrur were all out at the score of 109 in 50 overs.

Gagan (36), Kanwarpreet (15) were the principal scorers for Sangrur. Amit Uniyal (3 for 49). Akashdeep (3 for 12) and Bipul sharma (2 for 23) were the main wicket takers for Chandigarh.
