BJP dares govt to hold public debate on ORR Project

Hyderabad, Sep 3 (UNI) Alleging the state government has failed to give answers to the questions raised by the Opposition parties on land acquisition for the proposed Outer Ring Road (ORR) Project, the BJP today demanded the government to organise a public debate on the issue.

In an open letter to Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, a copy of which was relased to the press here, BJP National Secretary B Dattatraya alleged the government was not revealing the facts on land acquired from farmers at "meagre"rates for the Project.

Alleging the state government was taking steps to promote real estate business at ORR, Mr Dattatraya demanded the government to cancel the registration of lands purchased from the farmers and render justice to the displaced or allocate land to the displaced besides giving them compensation.
