APPF plea to Govt on pension benefits

Rajahmundry, Sep 3 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Pensioners Forum (APPF) today asked the government to settle all pending disciplinary cases of retired employees and release their pension and benefits.

Addressing newspersons here, APPF President P V Ramanaiah said the forum had been representing to the government to solve the long pending problems of the five lakh pensioners in the state.

He also alleged the government failed to implement the recommendations of Pay Revision Commissioner A Rangachary Committee appointed to sort out the anamolies during adoption of Master Scale.

Mr Ramanaiah said the government should constitute a joint staff council for pensioners as recommended by the Pay Revision Commissioner.

He said the government must also allot house sites to pensioners 'as per the announcement of Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy' and review GO MS No 74 for helping pensioners avail treatment in notified hospitals.
