40 people rescued as bus falls into stream in Kashmir
Srinagar, Sep 3 (UNI) As many as 40 people were rescued after a passenger vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a stream in central Kashmir district of Badgam today.
An official spokesman said Transport Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen, on hearing about the accident, rushed to Badgam where the passenger had fell into the stream flooded with rain water.
He mobilised the administration and monitored the rescue operation. The spokesman said as many as 40 people were saved by the timely action of the district administration.
