Woman's body found, father cries foul against son-in-law

Hoshiarpur, Sep 2 (UNI) A dead body of 24-year-old woman, Neelam Rani, of Latifpur village was found adjoining to a railway track near Bhangala in the district.

Darbari Lal, the father of the deceased, has alleged yesterday that his daughter was killed by her husband Pawan Kumar as both were having strain relations after one year of marriage.

The bereaved father. along with some 20 odd associates, blocked vehicular traffic at Bhangala on Jalandhar-Pathankot national highway and demanded registration of a case under section 302 IPC against Pawan Kumar.

The agitated group of people lifted the dharna only after the local police assured that they would investigate the case.
