Sugar prices decline on lack of fresh demand

Mumbai, Sep 2 (UNI) Sugar prices declined on lack of fresh demand, traders at the sugar market here today said.

Sugar prices of small and medium grades eased by Rs five and Rs six per quintal respectively on thin buying support.

Sugar prices in ex-mill of small and medium grades fell by Rs five and Rs ten per quintal, respectively, on increase offers by stockists.

Following were the spot sugar wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,806/1,841, medium grade: Rs 1,845/1,900.

Ex-mill: small grade: Rs 1,790/1,810, medium grade: Rs 1,810/1,840.
