Silver zooms up further, gold steady

Mumbai, Sep 2 (UNI) Prices of silver zoomed up further on bullish global advice while gold remained steady on moderate demand in the opening session, traders at the bullion market today said.

Following were today's opening spot rates : Silver (per kg) .999 fineness grade : Rs 19,735, Gold (per 10 gm): Gold 99.5 purity standard mint: : Rs 9,440, Gold 99.9 purity variety : Rs 9,490.
