PSPB Men register berth in Q/F, Women enter Semifinal

Bangalore, Sept 2 (UNI) Strong contenders Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) Men (Group-A) moved to the Quarterfinals, while their Women paddlers entered Semifinals of the 36th All India Inter Institutional Table Tennis Championship played at Sri Kanteerava Indoor Stadium here.

With two more rounds to go, PSPB Men proved their supermacy beyond doubt by defeating all their three contenders yesterday without conceding any match. In identical 3-0 margins they blanked Central Civil Service, Coal India and Indian Bank.

PSPB Women did not have to sweat much for a semifinal berth as they trounced Department of Post 3-0 and got a walkover from LIC, which failed to turn up.

Group-B PSPB bt LIC (w/o) Bank's Sports Board bt Indian Audit&Accounts 3-0.
