Varanasi, Sep 2 (UNI) A CBI team probing the murder of BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai today held deliberations with Senior Police Superintendent Ashutosh Pandey here.

Mr Pandey -- declining to divulge details of the meeting -- later told UNI that the two member CBI team handed over posters of the two accused in the high profile case -- mafioso Munna Bajrangi and his sharp shooter Ata-ur-rehman, both of whom were absconding.

The posters bearing images of both the accused -- carrying a reward of Rs five lakh each on their head -- will be pasted at all police stations and outposts of the district, besides being displayed at public places including railway, bus stations and cinema halls, Mr Pandey added.

The BJP MLA from Mohammdabad in neighbouring Ghazipur district was assassinated by criminals in the Bhanwarkole area on Ballia-Ghazipur border on November 29, 2005.

At least seven persons including ruling Samajwadi Party MP from Ghazipur Afzal Ansari, his independent MLA sibling Mukhtar Ansari and a relative Ejaz Ahmad are accused of the killing.

All the three were presently lodged in the Ghazipur district jail, while one of the accused Firdaus, has been gunned down by the Special Task Force of Uttar Pradesh Police in Mumbai.
