People celebrate Ganesh Mahotsav in HP

Shimla, Sep 2 (UNI) People celebrated Ganesh Mahotsav with religious fervour and gaiety in Himachal Pradesh today.

People thronged prominent temples of Tara Devi and Kali Bari in the town to pay obeisance to Lord Ganesha on the occasion.

State Governor V S Kokje prayed and later participated in Bhajan Kirtan function held at Raj Bhawan here.

He also participated in the Lord Ganesha idol immersion ceremony at ITBP complex at Tara Devi, near here, after offering prayers at the Tara Devi Mandir.
