Nine killed in road accident in Chitradurga District

Chitradurga, Sep 02 (UNI) Nine people were killed including seven women, and two injured seriously, all from Maharashtra, when a van in which they were travelling collided head-on against a truck near Begalarahatti in Chitradurga district this morning.

The police sources said the mishap occurred when a vehicle which was on the way to Shirdi after visiting pilgrimage places in Karnataka.

Nine people were killed on the spot.while the injured were admitted into General Hospital in the city.

All the deceased were identified and were came from Thane district in Maharashtra.

The tourists were proceedings to Shirdi in Maharashtra when the mishap occurred at the National highway 13, the sources said.
